Hello Scotts Valley Neighbors!

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and invite you to a virtual meet and greet! I am Christopher Bradford and I am running for 5ht District Supervisor. Our beautiful district spans the San Lorenzo Valley, a part of south Los Gatos, Scotts Valley, and sections of Santa Cruz. It is the geographically largest district in the county and each area of our district has its own culture and concerns.

It is remarkably important to me to connect with as many residents of the 5th District as I humanly can so I can hear firsthand what it is you need from your county supervisor. If you are in the unincorporated section of Scotts Valley, the county supervisor is your only local representative.

I am not a career politician. I am a grassroots advocate in my own community after losing my home in the CZU Fire propelled me into action. I advocated for the over 900 families that lost everything against a county culture that responded to the challenge of the disaster very slowly and  continues to obstruct folks who lost everything  from rebuilding.

In addition to assisting fire survivors trying to navigate their rebuilds at the county level, I have also been working with our county, state, and federal governments to assure hundreds of my neighbors have safe and available drinking water after the failure of the privately owned Big Basin Water System I serve as Treasurer for Fire Safe Council of Santa Cruz County Board Member. As an organization, we are proactively working on fire risk mitigation for our communities and are making great strides in acquiring grants to support those efforts.

Professionally, I am a software engineer, AI application developer, web developer and own a small business in Scotts Valley teaching martial arts to the community. I am also studying cyber security currently. Personally, I am happily married to my powerful wife Antonia, have six children, and three dogs. We just moved back home after rebuilding our home lost during the CZU, one of the lucky few. I am a martial arts practitioner with a first degree black belt in Jiu Jitsu, and a musician, playing the guitar and singing vocals.

It is time for a representative that works for all the people, not just the insiders who hand pick them. As the only grassroots candidate in this race, I am deeply committed to representing the people to the government, not the government to the people. The time for change is now.

I would like to invite you to a virtual meet and greet to connect! This meet and greet is for Scotts Valley residents only. There is one for unincorporated and a separate one for incorporated. We will be hosting other virtual gatherings as well.
